Direction of Network Technology

Network technology is shifting towards greater programmability, virtualization, and automation.

There is also a continuous drive for higher bandwidth and lower latency, with advancements in physical layer technologies. Wireless networking continues its pervasive expansion, supporting a growing number of devices and applications.

Another major trend is the enhanced focus on network security, moving towards more integrated and proactive security measures. Automation and the use of artificial intelligence for network management and security operations are also growing directions.
